April 04, 2002 22:30: Nine international civilians left the Presidential compound today with two Red Crescent ambulances that had been permitted to deliver food aid but no medical.
The delegates, including one man showing symptoms of a heart attack, left the compound at 5pm. They were to have been driven to the Calandia checkpoint where they were going to meet representatives from the German and French embassies and given safe passage to Jerusalem.
To this point, 10pm, no one in the compound, nor the embassies, have heard from the delegates. The Red Crescent office reports that the ambulance drivers have not checked in either.

Looking for french friends in Ramallah coming out from Arafat's Head Quarters
Some friends who where in Arafat's HQ left this afternoon. We have no news of them since they left Arafat's HQ. The French Embassy has no news either.
Please report any information as soon as possible, on Indymedia if possible. Among them is Guillaume Morin, Ewenn Salomon and Jean-Paul Mignon.

we were called about an hour ago from the compound and we are engaging all the major news services trying to engage more help the ambulance drivers who were moving them still have not checked in.
do you have the names of any other people who were supposed to be getting out?

Big Alert Achtung!! Take Action Now to Help Kevin Skvorak escape the bullets of the Israeli Death Sqauds. Kevin Skvorak, a member of the New York city Independent Media Center, went to Palestine to report on the Israeli war on the Palestinian people. He is in the Dehaisha refugee camp in Palestine with three Americans and a number of internationals. The Israel Defense Forces have surrounded their building with tanks and snipers, and are ready to kill all of them. Immediate action is needed or we may not see Kevin again. everyone is terrified here now..the isrealis are shooting into the building every few minutes...both snipers now, and the tanks when they go by..
there are only three americans here. the other 45 or so french and italian nationals.
the italian embassy has sent a convoy for us the last three days, and they have been blocked by the israelis..
all of us americans have called the consulate here many times..they say they can't (won't) do anthing to help us..or connect us with a fucking answering machine!
everyone knows where we are...in dehaisha refugee camp near bethlehem..
somebody is going to get killed here..
i was wiling to take the chane of getting hit by a stray bullet, but they are targetting us specifically now...
please call somebody..your senator or cogressman. the embassy or somebody...
(and i take back that part about fat complacent americans..)
and please pass this on to the rest of the family...if evryone calls they will send a bus or something...we don't have anything to fear here from the palestinians..they have been bringing us food etc everyday...it is the israelis..
nobody wants to get killed here.
